Advent HDTV Going Bad?

This ht2751a is having problems after using it for 2 years. I am hoping it is a simple fix and I can avoid the Repair shop. Doing some searches I have found similar problems described but nothing concrete. Hopefully someone will have an idea as to what is going on with the tv.
